Description
This is a whole raw fleece from a young alpaca (Huacaya). This comes from a small herd which are well looked after and kept on pasture in England. It is cruelty free to very high welfare standards and I visit yearly.

Alpaca is a hollow fibre and beautifully warm and soft.
The fleece is soft and open like a cloud. It will spin or felt beautifully and is often traditionally spun into beautiful yarn. There may be a little dust present but only in a small amount, and a small amount of vegetable matter only. This fibre is fresh and it is soft and easy to work with and can be spun unwashed. It has been very carefully stored and is top quality.
I have tried to photograph them well but the pictures do not do them justice.
It is a total dream to spin with or felt.
This is gorgeous for spinning, felting or many other crafts.
There is little vm as these alpaca have been at pasture in luscious green grass so this is not full of straw. There are very few second cuts as this has been sheared carefully with an eye to a quality fleece.
This is unwashed and just as it was shorn and the listing is for the whole fleece.
